Group asks Public Schools, Businesses and Residents to take money out of Wells Fargo

Not only should NOC hold Wells Fargo accountable, they should look at the City of Minneapolisfederal foreclosure funds and ask both Wells Fargo and the city “what happened?”? Could this be the start of “Occupy Black?”

Minneapolis, MN. (IBNN News Brief/October 10, 2011)…Today a press conference was held at 1023 Newton Avenue North. The announcement was made that the report, “The Impact of Foreclosures on the Minneapolis Public Schools” was released.
The home where the group held the press conference is currently owned by Minnesota banking giant Wells Fargo.
Steve Fletcher, Executive Director cites, “Wells Fargo played a huge part in the foreclosure crisis in north Minneapolis. This home we’re at today sits right behind Lincoln that was closed for low enrollment. This home should have children in it going to school at Lincoln. Wells Fargo must answer.”
"Who you gonna call? M & I Bank!"Tomorrow, (October 11, 2011) 6 p.m. – at 807 Broadway NE, MPS District Headquarters, the NOC group and concerned communitymembers will formally request that the Minneapolis Public Schools withdraw all monies out of Wells Fargo and open accounts elsewhere.
